Just a thought about the cookbook - when my Ukrainian relatives came, they had a lot of trouble using our recipes because there they weigh things - they use 200 grams flour, for example. But a simple one is an okay idea.
Otherwise, just so you know, they love jewellery - so a pretty necklace, maybe, if you want it to be a personal gift.

For fun, practice saying &quot;Welcome&quot; in Ukrainian - sounds like this -
Vitayemo --  &quot;vih-TIE-eh-mo&quot;. (the end sound is like the mo in &quot;more&quot;)</description>
