Finally, the baby is here. The arrival of the cute little bundle of joy has been anticipated by everyone. Excitement fills family, friends, and neighbors alike as they eagerly welcome the family home. Babies are truly miracles. What should I get the baby? I was so ecstatic when I got the call that my friend had her baby girl, Laura Ann. I jumped for joy; literally, I lost my balance and fell into the recyclables container as she told me that she had a baby girl. We were really surprised by it. My mind was full of thoughts all night. I became so overwhelmed by all the choices that I needed to grab my inhaler. The opportunity to buy gifts for the new baby only comes once. So, I pulled out my charge card as though it were Christmas. I began by purchasing an engraved picture frame, a cute little bank with her name on it, and a keepsake quilt with her name embroidered on it. Not only did I buy great gifts that showed how much I cared, but I also found great ideas for gifts for the future. Now I had ideas for personalized gifts for Christmas, birthday and baptism. Some future gifts I would purchase were a toy box with her name on it and a hand-painted rocking chair.
A personalized baby gift will require extra effort and time but it is worth it! It shows that you really care about the arrival of the new infant and the family too. Buying baby gifts for the newborn should be a fun and exciting experience and only comes once in that child’s life. New parents appreciate the thoughtfulness you show in celebrating the birth of their new baby, so it really doesn’t matter if you give a box of diapers or a personalized gift.
