This guide is written by a woman to let guys have a clue how to shop for a lady.

Men hate the thought of entering a shopping mall. Women love the mere thought of going shopping. A man has fonder thoughts of genital mutilation than looking for a gift. They feel like they’ve been kicked in the huevos. It’s like reading all the books in a law library!

Men, I know your brain feels cloudy merely thinking about shopping for your lady. Just brew up some organic Fair Trade coffee and let me do all the work.

Girls, if you want something, let your man know in PLAIN ENGLISH! Keep it simple! List your items in ascending price order and where to get the items. Let him know about the list and update it regularly. Make it easy on your dude. Tell him your special colors and dress size.

Make the list guys!, but, I know you’re guys, so here’s some guidelines. If you are thinking you’ll take the easy way out and buy gift cards â€“ Don’t! Gift cards should only be given to your lady IF she requests them! Clothing is another shopping boner. Unless your lady tells you exactly what clothing (and size) to buy, don’t go there! If you buy clothing too small she’ll feel fat, too big she’ll think you think she’s fat.

Personally, I like to receive flowers with a romantic note promising dinner at a fine restaurant. There isn’t much a romantic dinner can’t solve. If you think through your dinner plans and after meal activities, you will find a very affectionate woman on your hands.

Another one of my favorite gifts is a spa treatment, but if you can’t afford a day at the spa then you can always buy her some scented bath salts, romantic candles and a high quality bath robe. For example, there is organic cotton, all the way to fine Egyptian cotton robes. Find the one that best fits your budget.

If none of these ideas appeal to you read on. Think sweet! Chocolate and gourmet coffee are your friend. Most women can be wooed with splendid chocolates and gourmet coffee. It is a gift that will last every morning (at least for a while) that spoils her senses. Better yet, give her the gift of a coffee club membership to treat her for a full year. Most on-line gourmet coffee retailers offer this option. Coffee clubs are great way to sample through lots of different coffees. One stipulation, do not get any version of canned coffee or “store bought” chocolate. The chocolate must be in a box, or don’t bother.

Nearly all women need high quality pens and a planner or journal. Most women know the frustration of not being able to find a functioning pen. Even more frustrating is to hunt for a pen, then find one that doesnâ€™t work. If you want to get a really nice pen look for a Montblanc. A good leather bound journal is worth its weight in gold, and can cost you as much too! So make sure you shop around.

If your lady is into growing things then by all means, a nice potted plant is not out of the question. What woman can resist a beautiful potted flower? Every time she looks at the plant she will think of you!

When it comes down to it guys, you should just ask your woman what she wants. Who would know better than her? Don’t let the sky be the limit. Make sure you let her know your budget. Any of the above mentioned ideas may be catered to fit almost any women at any point in her life. Women want to be pampered and adored. We want gifts that reflect our style, and not yours. In a pinch you can just get a framed picture of you as a couple. Nothing says love more than US!
