The Procedure For Selecting Good Wedding Photographers
Picking the right Hampshire wedding photographer is essential to a successful wedding. These photographs will last forever, even once the leftover cake has been eaten and the flowers have been pressed. Before you meet with the wedding photographer you should have a set of guidelines that you are looking for. This will help them to know right away if a photographer meets their guidelines or not.
Do not book a photographer over the phone; you must see the wedding photographer’s portfolio. Their portfolio will show you the style of work they normally shoot in. If you want strictly formal set ups and the photographer shows you several artistic photographs, it probably is not a good fit. Ask a friend or family member to speak with the wedding photographer with you. Show them your list of guidelines so they can follow them with you. When considering the type of photography you want, think about casual shots versus formal shots. Know the groups you want photographed, including photographs that might not include the wedding party or family. Keep in mind photographs of family and special photographs of friends that might be visiting or that you simply want pictures with. Is your college roommate coming? If you forget photographs you want it will make the big day more stressful.
When looking at the photos, try to imagine yourself in the photographs. If these were the photos you took home, would you be happy? Variety is key. If all the shots the wedding photographer shows you are close up this is a bad sign. Look at the edges and background in the photographs to see if the wedding photographer has done a sloppy set up or if the set ups are clean and even. Take in examples of photographs you like and talk to the photographer about their ideas.
Ask the wedding photographer for their qualifications and how much experience they have doing wedding photography. The letters LBIPP, ABIPP or FBIPP after their name means they are BIPP qualified and considered a professional photographer. Ask about the unexpected. How will they handle your photographs if it snows? Are you okay with their ideas? Ask about the event of your photographs being ruined and see if they have Professional Indemnity Insurance cover.
