Insurance policies are there to ensure that the ceremony and celebration can be reconstituted, but nothing can replace the original day with all the fun that went on then. It is much like rerunning a movie with no surprise at the end. However, in real life, this can absolute ruin what was perhaps the most important day for everyone concerned with the couple.

So the best thing to do when choosing a photographer for the big day is to ask relatives and friends to recommend someone that they know. Do not just look in the yellow pages for a list of local professionals who are not personally known as this is such an important part of the day. Check them out well beforehand and ask to see past work. If they are unwilling to show any past photos, or if they do not have any, then it is best to try out someone else. Costs are not what is important here so try to find someone who knows exactly what is happening in the way of new styles of posing or such.

Take, for example, a photographer who specializes in videos. Many programs on computer set ups will be able to manipulate the film to some extent and add some kinds of special effects when they go back to their studios. It can even lighten or darken shots that were not fully exposed so that faces or silhouettes will stand out more. With this in mind, make it clear to the photographer what is, and what is not expected of him when he goes away to prepare the photos.
