1. You Entertain Too Many Photographers

Speaking with a great number of photographers can appear to be the best plan of action, but in fact, it can cause more harm than good. By speaking with many photographers in order to get the best price, you will most likely end up with the least qualified persons for the job.

There are photographers who will haggle over prices and who will attempt to gain your business simply by being the least expensive, but these will seldom be photographers who make quality and professionalism a priority. 2. You Sign Contracts Without Reading Them First

If you sign a contract without reading the words that are written on it, you can expect to have problems with the photographer. The price for services, the time-frame that the photographs will be delivered, the exact items ordered, the amount of time the photographer will cover the wedding, and any other agreed upon items should appear in the contract. This should be read and re-read so that you know that both you and the photographer are on the same page.

3. You Deny Your Intuition

A couple may get the feeling that an offer from a photographer is too good to be true, then will ignore that feeling in order to get a good deal. It is more important to trust those instincts; if something seems fishy, it probably is.

4.Lack of Professionalism is Ignored

A photographer may take artistic license to dress in an unprofessional way or to behave in an unorthodox manner. This is fine for the photography studio, but may not work well at a wedding ceremony or formal reception. Do not forget to consider this when booking a photographer that appears less than professional.

5. You Do Not Closely Scrutinize the Sample Album

Amateur photographers may attempt to piece together a sample album from multiple weddings, showing only one or two of the best shots taken at each wedding. A professional photographer will show a sample album with shots obtained at one wedding, showcasing the ability to capture multiple excellent photographs during the event.
