Come April showers, I am always reminded that Mother’s Day will be upon us along with the May flowers, and start racking my brains for that elusive perfect gift. I would love to find a gift that really keeps on giving?

Mothersday Flowers. Yes a bouquet of her favorite flowers is a must. Every mom loves flowers, but along with those flowers something more for that special mom.

This year would be hard on most of us to spend a lot on gifts, so think of doing a service as a gift. You still give a gift that is

appreciated, but you do not spend that much. It costs nothing at all, when you come to think of it.

Here are some gift ideas I thought up in the service area. Gifts that would surprise a Mom and save the giver money at the same time.

Offer to baby sit for the new mum as her mother’s day gift.
Take care of the pet because you know the Mum is travelling in the first two weeks of May.
Mow the lawn for a month for the mum who has just moved in next door.
For a mum of a big family a colorful certificate printed out on your computer saying each child old enough to do it would do the dishes for a week.
Any mum would cherish the idea that her loving hubby and kids have decided to take care of the laundry, the windows, cleaning the house, work in the yard, anything that makes light work for the ever working mom, just tailor the gift to suit that mom’s needs.

The above are all suggestions and ideas for gifts that would be appreciated, but does not cost anything.

Then there are gifts that are for Mom’s palate and her special tastes. There isn’t a mom who does not like a gift basket. Let each member of the family

chip in an item that is mom’s favorite, and the basket that can be put together would be a Gift of good taste.

Here are some of the goodies that most mums like:

A bar or box of her favorite chocolates.
A nice mug, and Hot chocolate.
Chocolate or coffee flavored tea.
Fresh Organic Fruits and Veggies.

The ideas are limitless, to those who know what moms special tastes are.

I like the idea of a gift that keeps on giving. A years subrcription to her favorite weekly magazine.

Give her the first copy with a special note telling her that there is more to come. Each week for next 51 weeks she is going to think of you and smile.
