Men. When you give a woman a gift do you expect one of equal value?

Yes I know odd question. My boyfriend and I have been together almost a year. Every month on our anniversary he gives me something like gold/diamond earrings (usually around 120-200+) or something like that. I how ever do not have that type of budget where I can afford that. So my question is what do you expect in return? What would you expect for a 1 year anniversary?

Nope, if I give my gf a gift I already am glad she accepts it. and don’t want anything in return. it is just the way of surprise. Not everyone can spend as much as the other, so just keep it simple and be happy with what you have.
Wow the dude must have some bucks or a hell of a credit card balance ha ha. No I don’t expect anything in return. If I buy lauderie I just want her to be laying in it when I get home from work. It’s my girls 8 month anniversary and i didn’t get her anything. I like to surprise her though at different times. For a one year anniversery I would expect somthing with meaning price doesnt matter. For instance i have talked about need a new wallet and new shoes. If she got me those two things that means she was listening are cares.
