How to Make your Wedding Rings Sets Last Forever

Wedding Rings Sets are symbolic signs of a pair’s wedding, and they should be treated with the utmost care and respect. It horrifies me how crudely some people treat their wedding bands, and it makes me quail a little whenever I see people manhandle their rings in these various ways:

Biting them
Wedding rings sets may be made of sterling gold or silver, making them tougher and more immune to damage, except for crying aloud don’t bite into them! The habit will at last wear down the ring’s surface, permanently damaging them over time.

Leaving them around
Yes, toss the 18 carat gold ring on the settee. It just costs a measly thousand bucks. That is just coins, and can simply get replaced in the blink of an eye, right? Not if you are a regular Joe or Jane like me.

Wearing them to the pool
Rule number one when wearing jewelry. Never EVER wear them to the pool, or in any body of water for that matter. Chlorine, salt and minute particles all work in partnership to break down fine jewellery, and wedding rings are not exception. Take them off before taking a dip and you won’t have to worry about any lasting damage.

Tossing them with other jewelry
While wedding rings sets are usually hard and sturdy, other finer jewelry are not the same. Carelessly mixing them in with other jewelry can result in permanent damage that will totally destroy a piece’s beauty in no time at all. Store them in small cotton or vinyl pouches, and your jewelry won’t scratch each other senseless.
