How to Make Every Present (Even the One’s You Don’t Like) Work for You!

Don’t you wish you actually got something you liked?Â Well, there is a better way my friendÂ If you want the easy way out consider giving Coffee Gift Baskets.

Unfortunately, we don’t always receive something as cool as Gift Baskets.Â That’s why I’m hear to help.

Everyone has been given a gift that is not the most desired gift.Â You can give it to charity, or post it on www.freecycle.com where everything donated is free to users.Â You might bury the unwanted gift in a box where you may never run into it again.Â Whatever you do please do not throw the gift away.

We all know about re-gifting, a hazardous and often unsavory practice.Â Regifting is not usually a welcomed custom.Â Most importantly if the individual that gave you the gift finds out.Â There are numerous ways to put the gift to use, without the awkward and blatant re-wrapping and passing along.

1.Â Make a “Gift Box.”Â Make sure that you put a post-it note on the item, and secure it with tape telling whom the item is from.

2. If you receive stuff you can’t use put it all together in the box.

3. Make sure to lump together similar items, i.e. electronics.

Â

4. Try to give multiples of a like item.Â Take DVDs for an example.Â Take the movies, and place them in a gift bag with a bow. Purchase two boxes of gourmet popcorn, popcorn flavorings (often available at Ross stores, TJ Maxx and Target) and some hot chocolate.Â If you are giving the movies to an adult or family, put in a homemade gift certificate for one night of free babysitting (if they have kids).Â The goal is to avoid spending too much, but make a nice gift.Â Make sure that you are not giving the gift back to the person that gave it to you.
