On christmas day you might find Asian shops open but on Boxing day loads of shops open for Boxing day sales. It isd the same all over the British Isles
I live in Edinburgh
Hardly any shops are open on christmas day
But on boxing day yes they are open and that’s every thing from Hmv to larger stores like Jenner’s, st James center, the Waverly Market
And you will get a lot off good bargains as well as the sales are on!

Very few indeed. If you are lucky a small Asian shop. Boxing day, you may find a number of larger stores open with limited hours, and often some good sales.
